Purpose built teacher account

Wisdomap is the ultimate mind mapping tool for the classroom - the special teacher version is available for an annual subscription of £25 (approximately $37). As a web-based tool there are none of the complicated installations, software updates and security worries of installable software (especially on school-owned computers): you are always using the latest, most secure version and can access it from any internet connected computer. With a purpose built interface and functionalities, creating and using mind maps in your teaching will be easy and fun!

Set assignments

Using your Wisdomap teacher account you can set mind map assignments for your pupils. You choose the centre node of the mind map, write some instructions for your students, and they submit their mind maps! When you create the assignment, you are provided with a short code and unique URL. Up to 30 students for each assignment can create a mind map by using the URL or entering the code on the "Find assignment" page on the Wisdomap website, without needing to register their own account. Mind map assignments will make an interesting, fun and different homework task for your class!

Unique self-test feature

Wisdomap features a tool unique among all mind mapping software for testing yourself on a mind map. This feature is automatically available on all mind maps created with a Wisdomap teacher account (we'll even add it to your old maps retrospectively if you upgrade), so it can be used by students on your shared maps and also on their own assignments. When the self-test mode is activated, the mind map is hidden, but the node structure and colours are left as visual cues. Nodes can be revealed and hidden individually by clicking, so students can try and remember the mind map. This truly uses visual and spatial memory for effective learning!

An automatic revision resource

When you create and share mind maps using your teacher account, Wisdomap will automatically create and maintain an online list of your shared maps for your students. Simply by sharing the mind maps you make, you will build up an incredily useful and convenient online revision resource for your students, making Wisdomap a valuable organisational tool.
