We are committed to protecting your privacy. We continually review our policy and procedures in order to maximise the safety and protection of all the information that we hold.
We do not sell, trade, exchange or otherwise make available any personally identifiable information to any other company or organization. All information that is collected by our website and the Wisdomap application is owned and managed solely by us. Any information provided to Google during the checkout process is not passed to us and its use is covered under Google's privacy policy.
All the data that we keep on our servers is encrypted while stored there. Furthermore for those with premium and teacher accounts, data is protected during transmission to and from our servers by strong SSL encryption. When you delete maps, nodes, text and other information on the Wisdomap application it is removed immediately from our database. Your encrpyted data will, however, remain in our physical database backups for up to seven days.
Cookies (pieces of data stored on the user's computer) are used during the login process but are terminated upon logout and do not contain any personally identifiable information. We also use IP addresses to gather broad information for analysis of trends and general administration.
Internet Explorer versions 6 and older have been blocked by rule from the application for the proteciton of security and privacy and for best functionality reasons. Users are strongly advised to use Firefox 3.0.3 wherever possible, since this has proven to be a more secure browser than Internet Explorer. We also think Wisdomap looks and works best on a Mac.
